Will be battery be located behind-the-meter on an existing premises or in-front-of-the-meter*?

*Front-of-meter batteries refers to batteries that are connected directly to the low voltage
network between the distribution substation and properties served by that substation.
Read our factsheet about behind-the-meter and front-of-meter batteries to learn more.

Behind-the-meter batteries only

If you are planning to connect a behind-the-meter battery, please provide us with the National Meter Identifier,
or NMI. (This is the unique 10- or 11-digit number assigned to your electricity connection point and starts with a 6.
You can find the NMI on the electricity bill).

Is your organisation responsible for paying the electricity bill for this NMI?
Will the battery be part of an embedded network? (optional)
Concept drawings

• For a behind-the-meter battery, we recommend you provide a concept drawing for the battery set up (optional)
and submit it with this form.

• For a front-of-meter battery, a concept drawing is not required.
