Overview
We’re upgrading the Red Cliffs Terminal Station on Woomera Avenue, Red Cliffs, to improve electricity reliability and strengthen the network in the Sunraysia region.
As a major electricity hub, Red Cliffs Terminal Station supplies power to around 27,000 customers across Red Cliffs, Mildura and Robinvale. It’s essential for delivering a secure and sustainable energy supply.
These works will be completed in stages to maintain supply to Mildura.
What we’re doing
Setting up the work site inside the terminal station.
Removing four existing transformers and installing four new ones.
Upgrading parts of the switchyard and installing new underground cables.
Carrying out civil works to support the installation of the new transformers.
During construction, there may be some temporary noise, dust and increased traffic from trucks and other heavy vehicles accessing work sites. However, all work will happen within the existing terminal station compound.
Why is this important?
The upgrade will reduce equipment failure risk and improve network reliability.
