In January 2025, we finished upgrading Wangaratta’s electricity network to connect the CleanPeak Energy Wangaratta Solar Farm.

What did this project involve?
Our trusted delivery partner Ventia:
- replaced approximately 20 power poles between the Wangaratta zone substation and the Wangaratta solar farm site
- extended the 66kV line from the intersection of Bowser Road and Detour Road to the new solar farm
- installed overhead and underground communications cables along the entire length of the line from the Wangaratta zone substation to the solar farm.
This work allows the new solar farm to feed the energy it generates back into the electricity network.
