What did we do?
We replaced underground cables and upgraded the substation in Cranbourne North.
This upgrade supported the safe and reliable supply of electricity to the Cranbourne North community and helped reduce the likelihood of unplanned outages.
Traffic disruptions and impacted areas
There were traffic disruptions during the works, including detours and 40km/h speed zones.
Traffic management was in place to guide people through the area.
Why we turned the power off
We needed to turn the power off for some customers over two days to safely carry out this work.
Customers affected by outages were notified by letter, email or text message with the relevant dates and times.
While the work was underway, we installed a generator to support the local network during peak demand and help reduce the risk of additional outages.
