AusNet is undertaking maintenance works in Euroa and surrounding areas to support the safe and reliable operation of the network as we head into summer.
AusNet's General Manager Network Operations & Delivery, Ross Young, said the maintenance works are part of ongoing effort to improve long-term reliability in the region.
"We're proactively maintaining and strengthening the network to reduce the risk of unexpected outages and keep power flowing to homes and businesses."
"On Sunday October 18 we will be undertaking maintenance works across 15 locations, upgrading cross arms and hardware replacements, while also replacing six power poles" said Mr Young.
To complete the works safely, a planned power outage will be required on Sunday 18 October between 8.30am and 4.30pm, impacting 4,575 AusNet customers.
"We know that it's inconvenient to be without electricity and we thank our customers for their patience and understanding as we undertake these important bushfire maintenance works," said Mr Young.
Customers affected will have already received a notification from AusNet about the planned outage.
