AusNet has become the first organisation in Australia to achieve certification to the latest international asset management standard, reinforcing its leadership in the development and operation of major energy infrastructure.
AusNet Executive General Manager Group Operations Matthew Beckett said the accreditation recognises years of work AusNet has undertaken to embed world-class asset management practices across the business.
"Achieving ISO 55001:2024 certification is a significant milestone that reflects the strength of AusNet's asset management capability and reinforces confidence in our ability to safely and efficiently deliver major energy infrastructure. It positions us strongly as we continue connecting more renewable energy to the grid and supporting Victoria's energy transition," said Mr Beckett.
The certification follows a rigorous independent audit by the British Standards Institution (BSI), with the audit demonstrating AusNet’s world-class asset management capability.
BSI Australia and New Zealand, Managing Director, Charlene Loo, said the certification is a testament to AusNet’s team's commitment to managing assets strategically, enhancing performance, and supporting future growth.
“Congratulations to AusNet on achieving Asset Management certification, demonstrating your commitment to reducing risk, improving asset performance, and delivering long-term value,” said Ms Loo.
