AusNet helicopters will conducting aerial inspections of the powerlines from Monday 14 to Friday 18 September in the following areas:
Bruthen, Buffalo, Deptford, Double Bridges, Ensay, Ensay North, Fairy Dell (Bairnsdale), Jeeralang Junction, Jumbuk, Koonwarra, Leongatha, Leongatha South, Loy Yang, Meeniyan, Middle Tarwin, Moe, Mossiface, Nerrena, Reedy Flat, Sarsfield, Stony Creek (Foster), Swifts Creek, Tambo Crossing, Tanjil South, Tarwin, Tarwin Lower, Timbarra, Traralgon, Traralgon East, Traralgon South, Tyers, Westbury and Yallourn North.
We carry out these inspections to identify, monitor and repair any wear and tear on powerlines and poles to make sure the electricity supply across our network remains safe and reliable.
While severe storm events can impact the network unexpectedly, routine aerial inspections help to support reliable and safe electricity supply for our communities across our network throughout the year.
