In consultation with CitiPower and the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), we’ve initiated upgrade works on the Brunswick Terminal Station in King Street, East Brunswick.
As the owner and operator of this facility, we share responsibility with CitiPower and Jemena for supplying electricity to around 25,000 customers in the inner-northern suburbs of Melbourne.
Our upgrade works will help to secure the existing electricity supply distributed via the Brunswick Terminal Station, and ultimately add an additional 65,000 customers to the network in Melbourne’s CBD and inner suburbs.
In general, this project will involve replacing existing infrastructure with state-of-the-art technology and equipment. Modern architecture and landscaping will screen the facility from neighbouring properties and improve the overall look of the Merri Creek corridor.
A concept design for the completed project is provided below.
To provide a link between our project team and the community, we’ve established a Community Reference Group that meets once every two months. Members of this group include local residents, Moreland City Councillors and representatives from AusNet Services.
If you wish to read the minutes from these meetings, please visit the Moreland City Council website.
