Line Engineers
Design and upgrade transmission lines and structures that connect the transmission network.
Experience may include:
- Lattice towers
- 230, 330 and 500kV
- OHV (Overhead High Voltage)
- PLS-POLE
- PLS-Tower
- PLS-CADD
- Line ratings
- Tower design
- Autocad
Senior Primary Engineer
Design the high-voltage equipment within transmission substations that keeps the network safe and reliable.
Experience may include:
- Transformers
- Switchgear
- Breakers
- Busbars
- HV equipment
- Surge arresters
- Primary plant & equipment up to 500kV
- Terminal stations / Substations
Secondary Engineer
Develop the protection, control and automation systems that monitor and operate the transmission network.
Experience may include:
- SCADA
- Control systems
- Communications
- Automation
- IEC 61850
- CT/VT calculations
- SIMS
- Substations (Electricity Substation Designs)
- Protection scheme & control system design
- Protection relay settings & configuration
