Chief Executive Officer
David joined AusNet on 15 November 2023 as CEO and has more than 40 years’ experience in the energy sector gained in Australia, Asia, and the United Kingdom.
Prior to joining, AusNet he was Chief Operating Officer of China Light and Power, based in Hong Kong, and was the inaugural CEO of Energy Queensland Limited. Most recently, he has been focused on advisory projects in the UK energy sector. David is an experienced CEO with deep industry knowledge, having led and managed regulated electricity transmission and distribution businesses, natural gas infrastructure assets, power generation, and energy services businesses.
David holds a Master of Business Administration from Warwick Business School, UK, a Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering) from Sheffield Hallam University, UK, and is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of Engineers Australia.
Chief Financial Officer
Charlie is Chief Financial Officer of AusNet and is an experienced energy industry professional with expertise in financial and regulatory strategy and in-depth knowledge of the management and operations of regulated networks.
Charlie joined AusNet as Chief Financial Officer in August 2025. Prior to this, Charlie was Chief Financial Officer of Essential Energy, one of Australia’s largest electricity network service providers responsible for delivering electricity to almost one million customers across 95% of New South Wales and parts of Southern Queensland.
Preceding his time with Essential Energy, Charlie was Deputy Chief Financial Officer of AusNet. Charlie commenced his career with Deloitte advising government, energy and infrastructure clients on a range of corporate finance and strategic matters.
He holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting and Human Resource Management) from Latrobe University, a Masters in Applied Finance from Macquarie University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Executive General Manager, Gas & Metering
Fran joined AusNet in 2019 in the contestable market group (Mondo) before being appointed Head of Customer in 2020. She has held multiple General Manager positions centred around customer and community stakeholder engagement, as well as strategic business planning and social value.
She is responsible for leading a safe, reliable, affordable and sustainable regulated gas network today and into the future, fulfilling customer, community and stakeholder needs and expectations.
Prior to joining AusNet, Fran held executive leadership and senior management roles in local government, the water sector and KPMG. As a proud advocate of women in leadership roles, Fran is a proactive mentor for upcoming leaders and is heavily involved in building a connected and inclusive workplace.
Fran studied Arts at Monash University and has undertaken the Accelerated Leadership Development Program at London Business School.
Executive General Manager, Distribution
Andrew joined AusNet in 2020 and has more than 20 years’ experience in major project delivery in the energy sector. He is responsible for leading a safe, reliable, affordable and sustainable regulated distribution network today and into the future, fulfilling customer, community and stakeholder needs and expectations.
Prior to joining AusNet, he held leadership roles with CitiPower and Powercor, and has delivered major projects across the civil and construction industries.
Executive General Manager, Transmission
Elizabeth (Liz) joined AusNet in 2023 and has 20 years’ experience across the energy, financial services, mining and agribusiness sectors. She is responsible for leading a safe, reliable, affordable and sustainable regulated transmission network today and into the future, fulfilling customer, community and stakeholder expectations. She previously led AusNet’s Strategy, Regulation and Corporate Affairs function.
Prior to joining AusNet, she held Executive General Manager roles at Elders Limited and senior leadership positions at General Electric, Singapore Airlines and within the management consulting sector.
Liz holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, a Masters of Business Administration from The University of Cambridge, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Chief Development Officer
Jon joined AusNet in 2020 and has around 20 years’ experience in the utilities sector across a range of areas, including strategy, company-wide transformation, business development and growth. He is responsible for greenfield transmission, generation and load connections, storage infrastructure, aggregated DER and clean mobility and he formerly led AusNet’s Strategy and Regulation functions.
Prior to joining AusNet, he held senior executive roles with Endeavour Energy, United Energy & Multinet Gas and Synergy.
Jon holds a Bachelor of Taxation from the University of NSW, a Master of Applied Finance from FINSIA and is a Chartered Accountant.
Executive General Manager, Group Operations (Acting)
Matthew joined AusNet in 2024 as Group Manager, Operations, Data & Analytics and Emergency Management. Since August 2025 he has been acting EGM, Group Operations.
Matthew is an experienced executive with global experience in asset management, engineering, maintenance, operations, and data & analytics across the power sector, including electricity transmission, distribution, and generation.
Prior to joining AusNet, Matthew was Vice President, Operations Excellence for Philippines-based AboitizPower and has held senior management roles at Origin Energy, CLP (Hong Kong) and GNPower (Philippines).
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class) from Lancaster University, UK, and is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of Engineers Australia and Engineering Executive in Leadership & Management.
Executive General Manager, People and Safety
Bridget joined AusNet in 2011 and has 20 years’ experience leading and delivering large-scale transformational and operational programs within the infrastructure and energy sectors. An experienced leader in this space, she is responsible for enterprise change management and driving functional excellence in human resource management, including our people, culture, health, safety and the environment functions.
Prior to joining AusNet, Bridget held senior human resources roles with Siemens and Transport for London.
Bridget holds a Bachelor of Business from Swinburne University of Technology.
Executive General Manager, Compliance, Risk & Corporate Affairs
Amanda joined AusNet in 2024 and has more than 16 years’ experience in the energy sector. With a law background, Amanda has significant experience across a range of areas as a partner of a law firm and through leading legal teams in the energy industry.
She is responsible for guiding AusNet to achieve a strong compliance culture and performance, robust risk management, constructive external relationships and positive positioning, to realise its corporate ambition.
For the last ten years, Amanda has provided strategic and tactical advice on compliance, risk and assurance at Origin Energy.
Amanda holds a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Economics from Monash University, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Chief Technology Officer
Chris joined AusNet in 2024 after relocating from France. He has more than 15 years’ experience in the digital, cybersecurity and energy industries and has held senior regional and global leadership roles in France and Australia. He is responsible for AusNet’s digital and cybersecurity systems and rapidly maturing them in line with customers’ expectations.
Prior to joining AusNet, he held senior strategy, digital and cyber roles at Framatome (EDF subsidiary focused on nuclear) and General Electric, and consulting roles with BCG and IBM.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Master in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.
