  • Crowlands Wind Farm

    AusNet Services worked with Pacific Hydro to connect the Crowlands Wind Farm to the National Electricity Market.

    The Crowlands Wind Farm in located approximately 25km north-east of Ararat in western Victoria, Australia.

    The wind farm comprises 39 turbines and produces 80MW of electricity – enough clean energy to power approximately 50,000 Victorian homes each year.

    AusNet Services built, and now owns and operates the transmission line and terminal station that connects the wind farm to the National Electricity Market.

    Construction of the Crowlands Wind Farm commenced in February 2018, with construction of the transmission infrastructure completed in September 2018.

  • Bulgana Green Power Hub 

    AusNet Services worked with Neoen to connect the Bulgana Green Power Hub to the National Electricity Market.

    The Bulgana Green Power Hub is located 11km north-east of Stawell in the Wimmera region of central western Victoria, Australia.

    The Bulgana Green Power Hub consists of 56 wind turbines and a lithium-ion battery storage system, and produces 194MW of electricity.  This is enough clean energy to power approximately 130,000 Victorian homes each year and is equivalent to taking 230,000 cars off the road or planting 1.2 million trees.

    AusNet Services built, and now owns and operates the 17km transmission line and a terminal station that connects the Bulgana Green Power Hub to the National Electricity Market.

    Construction of the Bulgana Green Power Hub commenced in May 2018 with the transmission line complete in March 2019.

  • Salt Creek Wind Farm

    AusNet Services worked with Tilt Renewables to connect the Salt Creek Wind Farm to the National Electricity Market.

    The Salt Creek Wind Farm is located 5km south of Woorndoo, in the Western District of Victoria, Australia.

    The wind farm comprises 15 wind turbines and produces 54MW of electricity – enough clean energy to power approximately 30,000 homes each year.

    AusNet Services built, and now owns and operates approximately 50.5km of 66kV transmission line that connects to the Terang Terminal Station. 

    Construction of the Salt Creek Wind Farm commenced in September 2017 and was completed in July 2018, with the transmission line complete in June 2018.
