About Us

About Us > Community

AusNet Services is committed to partnering with the communities in which we operate.  Each year our sponsorships and donations strategy is reviewed to ensure it is aligned with our corporate business strategy and offers the right level of support through sponsorships, donations, community development programs, employee volunteering grants and energy industry education.

As well as monitoring what's happening in our communities and supporting one-off projects, we also have long-term parternships with the following organisations:

Community Development Fund

AusNet Services partners with local councils in the communities in which we operate to offer a Community Development Fund (CDF) program. The CDF provides a $20,000 grant pool and is open to local non-profit organisations to apply. Successful applications can be granted up to $3,000.

Strathbogie Shire Community Development Fund - Apply now

Applications are open for the Strathbogie Community Fund.  If you are involved in a not-for-profit in the Strathbogie area, apply for a grant of up to $3,000 for community-minded projects.  To download an application form, click here.

Wyndham City Community Development Fund

In March 2016, we ran the 'Connecting Your Community' Development Fund in Wyndham City.  A total $20,000 in grants were presented to 16 representatives from local community groups to help deliver a community minded project or service.

Our People are Community Minded

We're proud of the calibre and number of community minded activities our People are involved in. To recognise the volunteering efforts of our employees, AusNet Services has an employee volunteering program, known as Community Cornerstone. This program rewards employees, which volunteer more than 20 hours per year with their local non-profit organisation, with a $500 grants for their volunteer organisation.

Our People, as part of the Workplace Giving Program, also donate tens of thousands of dollars to:

  • Peter MacCallum Institute
  • Salvation Army
  • Seeing Eye Dogs Australia
  • Very Special Kids
